Through discussion and analysis of real-life moral dilemmas that educational leaders face in their schools and communities, authors Shapiro and Stefkovich 

their ethical responsibility to students. Colnerud (1991, 1994, 2006) suggests that ethical tension and conflict finds their origin where ethical norms collide. The collision of these norms creates space for ethical dilemmas to arise in schools and in the decisions of those who work in them. The aim of this study is to explore ethical dimensions in the teaching profession, by studying ethical conflicts in teachers' everyday life in relation to students, parents and colleagues.
